MTI Partners with Vodafone for Open RAN Multi-Vendor Enablement at MWC’24

Taiwan, February 21, 2024 – Microelectronics Technology, Inc (MTI): MTI O-RU will be featured in a Vodafone Multi-Vendor Open RAN demo at the Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC’24), which is a dynamic collaboration with key vendors. MTI’s involvement emphasizes the company's commitment to innovation and dedication to pushing the boundaries of Open RAN technology.

Open RAN Multi-Vendor Enablement emphasizes the Open RAN benefits achievable from Remote Unit (RU) vendors, with the MTI O-RU taking a prominent role in the showcase. Recognized for its significant contributions, particularly the single band radio featured in Vodafone's Central lab and CREATE (Vodafone’s advanced testing environment), MTI is a key participant in this exciting display of Open RAN capabilities. This approach aims to effectively promote the collaborative nature of the Open RAN activities on display.

Vodafone has extended a formal invitation to MTI, requesting its participation by lending one RU for the MWC24 exhibition. Although the RU itself will not be operational, it is anticipated to play a pivotal role in enhancing the overall demonstration experience.

Rigorous requirements, including dimensions and weight, were considered to ensure a seamless Open RAN Multi-Vendor Enablement into the showcase.

The Multi-Vendor Open RAN Enablement with MTI O-RU promises to be a highlight at MWC’24, offering attendees a firsthand look at the cutting-edge collaborations shaping the telecommunications landscape.

MTI express genuine enthusiasm about the prospect of presenting a compelling Multi-Vendor Enablement with Vodafone at MWC’24, setting the stage for a transformative showcase that will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on the Open RAN future networks.

Eugene Wu, CEO of MTI, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "We are thrilled to partner with Vodafone on this transformative Multi-Vendor Open RAN Enablement. Our joint efforts signify a commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the Open RAN, and we believe this enablement will serve as a testament to the power of collaboration in driving technological advancement."
