MTI’s Multi-Band Radio Unit (RU, also referred to as Remote Radio Head, RRH) is a family of O-RAN-compliant macro radios that support 5G NR operation and operate over multiple 3GPP frequency bands using Frequency Domain Duplexing (FDD). Each radio has 4 antenna ports, operates from nominal -48V DC input voltage, connects to a baseband Distributed Unit (DU) via 10Gbps fiber over an eCPRI interface, and supports multiple 5G NR carriers per Band. The RU is a fanless, convection cooled unit for outdoor use with AISG/RET and alarm ports.
MTI’s RRH is a 4T4R Remote Radio Unit (RRU) which operates in 3GPP variant band using Frequency Domain Duplexing (FDD), and transmits a maximum average power level of 40W per ANT port. The radio is intended for LTE operation and NR upgradable, and can support up to two (2) LTE or NR carriers per ANT path. The radio connects to the Baseband unit via an O-RAN interface that support eCPRI and functional split 7.2x. It operates from nominal -48 VDC input voltage.
MTI’s Lionhead RRH is a 2T2R Remote Radio Unit (RRU) which operated in 3GPP variant band using Frequency Domain Duplexing (FDD) and transmits a maximum average power lever 20 W or 40W per ANT port. This Radio is intended for LTE operation and NR upgradable, and can support up to two (2) LTE or NR carriers per ANT path. The Radio connects to Baseband units via a 4G CPRI interface, or connects to DU (Distribution Unit) via an O-RAN interface that support eCPRI and functional split 7.2x. It operates from nominal -48 VDC input voltage.
